Prepare the chocolate cake

Combine the cake mix according to the package instructions. Make sure you scrape the sides of the bowl to fully incorporate the ingredients. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick can be cleanly removed from the center.

Create the Oreo pudding

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreo pudding mix and cold milk. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes until it thickens. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.

Poke the holes

Once the cake has cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the top.

Pour the pudding

Pour the pudding on top of the poke cake, using care to work it into all of the holes you have created. Use a silicone spatula to ensure it is spread evenly.

Top with whipped topping

Use an additional cup of whipped topping to cover the top of the Oreo pudding filled poke cake.

Crush the Oreos

Use a food processor or a simple sandwich bag and rolling pin to crush the sandwich cookies into bite sized pieces.

Garnish and chill

Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top of the whipped topping frosted Oreo Poke Cake. Cut additional Oreos in half and use them to garnish each of the 12 pieces of cake in the baking dish. Allow the cake to chill for at least 1 hour.
